Over the past three decades, Orexart has occupied premises uptown, downtown, midtown and the city fringe. The boutique, corner site on Ponsonby Road marks the start of a fourth decade. We celebrate the start of this next chapter in the Gallery’s story, with an exhibition featuring work by a number of artists whose practices have also spanned three decades - and who are making some of their best work of their careers.
Our opening exhibition, which will run until 23 December, is a moveable feast of works including paintings by Tony Lane, Richard McWhannell, Martin Ball, Kathy Barber, Peter James Smith, Sarah Dolby, Joon-Hee Park, Richard Adams Prakash Patel, Stephen Allwood and cast glass works by Evelyn Dunstan.
